Alt'ed States Altbier Recipe Kit, 5 Gallon Batch

A replica of the "old style" German altbiers that dominate in the town of Dusseldorf, Germany, this beer not only has a strong maltiness, but also a more bitter presence (imparted by the German noble hops) than do the typical American style ambers. This is a very clean beer, with none of the fruity or buttery flavors that are found in the other amber ale recipes.

We will crush all the grains, unless otherwise requested at checkout.

Recipe kits do not come with grain socks/hop socks, or corn sugar for bottling.
