A 5-6% dark red, coppery malty ale with a slight spiciness from rye malt and a nicely balanced herbal European-style hop character. This is an "old-fashioned" red ale, similar to what might have been quoffed years ago by our fore-bearers, but you know what they say: there's no school like the old school. Ages nicely but ready to be consumed a few weeks after bottling.
We will crush all the grains, unless otherwise requested at checkout.
Recipe kits do not come with grain socks/hop socks, or corn sugar for bottling.
